Let me introduce myself: I am Balamurugan. My journey with Yuvabe as an ERPNext Consultant has been nothing short of transformative.
Before joining Yuvabe, I spent nearly five years in hardware sales, navigating the highs and lows of a demanding sales environment in Chennai. Days were consumed by constant travel, endless meetings, and the inevitable rejections that define a sales career. Despite its challenges, I grew accustomed to the rhythm of the job.
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented chaos, affecting me personally as I battled the virus and spent a harrowing week in isolation. It was a wake-up call that prompted me to reassess my priorities and eventually led to my decision to leave Chennai and return home.
However, fate had other plans. On my journey back, I narrowly escaped a car accident unscathed, reaffirming my resolve to find a career that fulfilled me.
Enter Yuvabe—a beacon of opportunity and a catalyst for my professional rebirth. Initially drawn to digital marketing, I quickly discovered a passion for technology and was encouraged to pursue a role as a Business Analyst in the ERP department. Embracing this new path, I began my tenure as an ERPNext Consultant.
Diving headfirst into my new role, I dedicated myself to mastering the intricacies of ERP systems. Weekly updates to my mentor, Sriman, became a ritual that not only showcased my progress but also fueled my determination to excel.
Time flew by as I immersed myself in projects and tasks, and within two years, I transitioned from ERPNext Consultant to Solution Architect—an accomplishment fueled by relentless effort and unwavering support from my mentors and peers. Despite being a non-tech enthusiast initially, I embraced the challenge of learning programming languages like Javascript and Python, expanding my skill set beyond expectations.
Yuvabe's ethos of "WORK SERVE EVOLVE" resonated deeply with me. Beyond professional growth, I engaged in community service initiatives like beach cleanups and Mataram, further enriching my experience.
The workplace environment at Yuvabe was not just conducive to productivity but also prioritised holistic well-being. Personal challenges melted away in the comfort of a customised workspace, and regular fireside sessions and workshops provided invaluable insights into emotional management and personal development.
One of the highlights of my journey is when I was recognised with the Award for Care in the ERP Team. That was one of the best moments in my life, all thanks to the mentors and incredible team for their support. This transformed my self-confidence, made me more positive, and also helped my team achieve incredible milestones.
As I continue to evolve and make strides in my career, I am confident that the foundation laid by Yuvabe will continue to propel me forward. Grateful for the trust, guidance, and support that define the Yuvabe culture, I carry forward invaluable lessons as I embrace new challenges and adventures.
